One of the most popular handmade party supplies that could be made for a Tweety themed party is a piņata. A piņata is made of paper mache and involves a certain process. To keep the design simple and easy, use a balloon as the starting structure.
Blow up the balloon and then set it in a large bowl where half of the balloon is stick up. This will allow for an easier work space and will hold it in place. Next, mix one part flour to 2 parts water (usually 1 cup flour and 2 cups water is enough).
Make strips of newspaper about one inch think and 1 inch long (make then larger if needed). This will be what the piņata is covered with along with the mixture which acts like glue. Dip the newspaper in the flour mixture and wipe off the excess; then, place it on the balloon. Let the piņata dry for at least 3 hours before adding another layer; 3 to 4 layers are necessary for a successful piņata. Be sure to leave the balloon exposed at the tie so it can be removed- this will also be the candy hole.
After it is completely dry, pop the balloon and then remove it. Punch two holes in the top of the piņata and thread string from it, join it at the top and tie it. This is what lets the homemade piņata hang from objects. Decorate the homemade piņata with crepe paper and other items and it is finished!
