Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, lasts for eight days and nights which begins on the 25th day of the Jewish calendar month of Kislev. The days of Chanukah were instituted mainly was to celebrate the victory over the Greeks but was technically a minor Jewish holiday. Chanukah's closeness to Christmas has increased its popularity in having a large Chanukah party.
Chanukah is a special holiday for all those who are Jewish; this holiday is celebrated in big events and with many decorations.
