Start the fun off right by allowing everyone to dress up like an American Idol. They can choose to be a rocker, pop singer, country singer and more. To make this happen simply lay out multiple pants, dresses, shirts, hats, sunglasses and more. Include hair accessories as well as shoes to complete the look.
Create a homemade party supply item such as a microphone by purchasing small Styrofoam balls, collecting paper towel or toilet paper holders and gathering some sort of black string of yarn. Other items that will be needed include black paint or markers, liquid glue, any color glitter, scissors and a pair of hands.
Color or paint the paper tube black and set it aside to dry. Next, cover the Styrofoam ball in liquid glue while holding it with a pencil stuck in the center of it. Roll the ball, with the glue on it, in the glitter until the whole ball is covered. Set aside to dry. While the ball is drying, take the scissors and cut a hole in the center, just large enough for the tube to go through without going completely through. Finally, when everything is dry, glue yarn or other string in the inside of the tube and let it hang out about 6 inches to act as a cord and then glue the tube into the Styrofoam.
